SPOILER ALERT!

That's right, if you read far enough into this blog, you will recieve a wonderful spoileresque tidbit of information about an upcoming 3AM season which has not been announced yet.
But first, "How is Dumb/Sex going?" you may ask. Well, this evening was our final dress and we couldn't be more ready for an audience. I saw The Dumb Waiter for the first time (well, our version anyway) last night and loved the work that Josh, Tim, and Aaron have put into it. Because I am IN Sexual Perversity in Chicago, I am a bit more critical of that show. (Those who have been working on a show always can pick out MANY things that went wrong with any given performance, even if the audience leaves entirely unaware) I am, however, happy to report that, should you choose to stray from the warm comfort of your home to see our shows this weekend, I can garauntee that you will not be disappointed. Please come on down, catch two shows (AND SOME IMPROV!) for the price of one, and feel free to stay afterward, have a beer or a glass of wine, and chat with us. In fact, if you come see the show THIS WEEKEND, and mention this blog, I will personally buy you a drink. I'd offer more, but we're trying to keep the website PG-13 at least.
I'd like to give a shout-out to two very hard-working individuals. I mentioned how on-the-ball Grant Merges is in my last blog. Not only is he our Technical Director for the shows, but he is also our Lighting Designer. Those of you with experience in Technical Theater know how taxing these positions can be, but to wear both hats at once! Grant, I am so sorry for putting you through this. Remind me to pay you more next time you work with us.
My second shout-out goes to Sam Lavell. Like Grant, she has double the work-load that any normal human being should have, as she is stage managing both shows simultaneously. Now, I'd like to see her do it blind-folded.
Now for the spoiler. Over the past few months I have been working on adapting Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's Good Omens. Hopefully you know the novel. If not, go rent it right now. Why on earth are you wasting your time surfing through the pages of some tiny little midwest theater company's website when there is so much OF WORTH out there that you haven't had the pleasure of reading yet?
Anyway, what Id like to say is that I have recently finished the first draft of the second act. YAAAY! Our hope is, pending permission from Neil and Terry, to put the show on next year. As we don't have a season completely picked yet, I can't officially say that this will actually be happening, but if it doesn't, I may just have to through a fit or something. I'm pretty sure I remember how from my grade school years. Aww, who am I kidding, from my college years. If anyone reading this knows Neil, or Terry, or maybe just the guy who delivers their groceries; please put in a good word for us.
Thanks for listening.
